Cai Guo-Qiang
Cai Guo-Qiang is a Chinese artist from Fujian's Province. After studying the properties of gunpowder in his drawings in Japan, he conducts several experiments with explosives on a large scale. Plastic artist, he installs, paints, videoproject, his performances creat an exchange between the spectator and the contemporary world. His works are often explosive but not only. His installation is a breathtaking must see.
He is the author of one of the most famous "pyro-poetic" images in the world, a ladder burning in the sky.
Here from a cargo ship he paints a bouquet of flowers.
There, his installation of mortars imitates the theft of a cloud of birds.
This one is adorned with the colors of the rainbow like the tail of a peacock.
A "flower" in front of a public building.
Its "ONE NIGHT STAND", on a bank.
Also the one who realized the fireworks of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. With this famous painting: "Foot prints".
