20 years at the Palais de Tokyo ! (images)

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible evening we shared together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our association. What memorable moments!

Between the stunning artistic performances, the warm atmosphere, and the invaluable help of our volunteers, this evening will be etched in our memories. The entire evening felt providential. Firstly, the weather, which for a very cold January, blessed us with no rain or wind throughout the evening and a temperature that was chilly but far from freezing.

I encountered so many familiar and smiling faces that I had no time to exchange more than a word or a simple kiss with each person I greeted. The many twists during the show, the delays, the unforeseen events, and surprises kept reminding me of the magic of this meeting, although organized in just a few days, without a budget, and with very eclectic numbers both in terms of technical level and stage effects.

Some came to dance humbly to a popular soundtrack, while others gave us true, complex choreographed performances. I enjoyed seeing the incredulous looks of the "old-timers" and "regulars" as they contemplated the crowd present for our 20th anniversary.

If there was one moment that stood out above the rest, it was the 20 handheld flamethrowers manipulated by strangers recruited on the spot. No one knew it was going to happen, and no one knew what it would look like. Flames over 10 meters high rose in the mythical basin of the Palais de Tokyo, and for me and my eyes, which have seen a lot in 20 years, it was nothing short of incredible.

The artistic performances that most marked the evening were numerous and varied. The two human torches: Flor and Jo, world record holders, delivered a high-flying spectacle, while the group choreography with fans combining tribal fusion dance, meticulous costumes, and synchronized flames captivated the audience.

Not to forget Bubule, the solo stick performer, whose gentle technical body poetry captivated everyone's attention.

Carole, the dancer in the Fire Dress, opened the show with undeniable grace and charisma, setting the mood for the crowd from the very first moments. And how could we forget the fire breathers Baba and Jerem, who entertained the audience during the delay with an impressive passing demonstration and spectacular flames?

Gaëlle, with her unique antipodism performance with a Fire Cross, dazzled the audience with a never-seen-before performance after a year of intense training.

Agathe, meanwhile, danced with two Fire Swords with grace and mastery unique to her, while Rachel, despite a technical error that could have prevented her appearance, delivered an exceptional performance with a single Fire Sword connected to a rope.

Finally, Burno and Romaric were our ringmasters disguised in gym tonic, pulling off the feat of making people laugh with impromptu clowning in the midst of the crowd. Their genius and talent brought an unexpected touch of humor to the evening.
