Burning Moulin: A new participatory gathering in a French countryside mill
Burning Moulin is an upcoming artistic and participatory gathering that will take place from July 7 to 14, 2025, in a former countryside mill near Nevers, in Burgundy, France.
Its mission is clear: to create a deeply human, artistic, and communal experience, rooted in generosity, contribution, shared creativity, and the freedom to express.
The place: a rural mill turned creative ground
The site includes 250 hectares of forests, fields and ponds, barns, stables, a repurposed pigsty, a shared kitchen, bathrooms, a bathtub, and plenty of space to host art installations and themed camps.
What's happening?
Burning Moulin is not a commercial festival. There is no ticket fee. Instead, groups of friends are invited to build their own autonomous camp, propose a theme, and contribute an artistic or festive creation to the "playa": it can be a sculpture, a chill zone, a vehicle, a scene or a ritual.
- 7 burns (one per night)
- Artcars to cruise through the forest and fields
- Concerts and DJ sets in barns, woods, or by the ponds
- Open-air cinema with films and surprises
- Workshops & activities – anything is possible
- Fire shows, performances, theater and rituals
- Chill-out spaces and spontaneous installations
- Shared kitchen with rotating shifts
Who is behind it?
The project is initiated by a team of 7 creative minds based between Paris and Marseille:
- Laura Auclair – Afrikaburn 2025, Matcha & Meditation workshops, in charge of CinéMoulin + Artcars
- Théo – ImagineFamily, PMU Nightclub, ticketing & Camp Lavuzzi
- Thomas – DJ @Nobod_Music, BlueOrigin founder, planning & site design
- Guillaume – DJ @coeur_fou_, LeBonbon Paris, lineup & burn coordination
- Teaunie – @tonyprun, music curation & food coordination
- François – DJ @Nobod_Music, Frenchy_la_french_casa, Afrikaburn & Burning Man veteran, monuments & logistics
