An Artist of Passion and Light
For over a decade, Carnival, also known as Valentin, has illuminated the Fire arts scene with boundless passion and remarkable technical skills. Originally from Île-de-France, he now practices in Maine-et-Loire and Sarthe, where he continues to spread his craft.
A specialist in poi, staff, double staff, dragon staff, and buugeng, he discovered Fire arts in 2013 thanks to his brother, who introduced him to the famous Poi Ad+ gatherings on the Tournelle Quays in Paris. It was a revelation: “It was an illumination for me. Today, I want to bring that same sparkle to people’s eyes as I had at that moment.”
A Strong Connection with Burn Crew Concept
From his early days, Carnival was immersed in the Burn Crew Concept universe. Just months after discovering juggling, he heard about the legendary Palais de Tokyo meetups, where he met and exchanged with other enthusiasts. He also participated in several major community events, including two editions of WEC as well as BCC anniversaries when he was still living in the Paris region.
In parallel, he has led several workshops and initiations in juggling and Fire arts, notably for village festivals and local associations. With Poi Ad+, he has helped organize multiple workshops, promoting the sharing and learning of these fascinating disciplines.
An Independent but Well-Connected Artist
Although he is a solo artist, Carnival frequently collaborates with various artistic companies and collectives, such as:

His technical mastery allows him to adapt to collective projects while developing his own artistic identity. He regularly leads learning workshops to introduce newcomers to Fire disciplines and share his passion.
Where to See Carnival in Action?
Always on the move, you can find him training on Fridays in open sessions with Abracadaballe, or, when the weather permits, in various parks near Nantes. His performances are frequently seen at major local festivities, especially in Loire-Atlantique.

Inspirations and Anecdotes
Carnival grew up inspired by numerous artists. He particularly admires the technical skill and fluidity of many jugglers and performers. Among his most memorable moments, he recalls seeing "Mr. Fire Safety" juggling a flaming staff - an unexpected and impressive sight.
He also had the chance to give a staff workshop to Andrey Das, an experience he describes with admiration and humility.
