Olivia Verner: Dancing with Fire and Resistance, One Rope Dart at a Time
Olivia Verner, a 30-year-old Paris-based artist, merges contemporary dance and the art of Fire through a rare and striking prop: the rope dart.

Trained at a conservatory, she stumbled upon Fire six years ago. Two artists invited her to join a show — and a burning passion was born. Around the same time, she discovered a Flow Mayhem video and decided to dedicate herself fully to this poetic and martial discipline.

🎯 Rope Dart & Resilience
Far from pure entertainment, her Fire performances embody symbolic strength. “Rope dart is a fight, a form of resistance, a way to make a statement.” For Olivia, Fire is primal, a deeply personal force. Each show becomes both a political act and a celebration of resilience.
🧵 Creating freely, creating together
As an independent artist, Olivia balances solo and group projects. Human connection is key to her process: “That’s what art is all about: giving and receiving.”
🌍 Stages & Collaborations
She has performed at the Phoenix Convention Gala and the European Juggling Convention (EJC). Olivia also works with the global rope dart community, including Flow Mayhem and the Rope Dart Academy.

💬 A message for the community
“Learning the art of Fire and facing the complexity of the rope dart was a revelation. It’s a mindset that serves you in every aspect of life. We’re all capable of much more than our brains can imagine.”
